BrikStax Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of BrikStax. By using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What BrikStax is

BrikStax is a free personal LEGO® collection tracker: it helps you catalog sets you own, track their estimated market value, and includes an optional gamified avatar/cosmetics system and an optional Community photo feature. BrikStax does not currently sell anything or offer in-app purchases.

Eligibility

BrikStax is not directed at children under 13, and is not intended for use by anyone under that age.

No account required

BrikStax doesn't require you to create an account. Your collection data lives on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details on the anonymous device identifier used for barcode-consensus and Community rate-limiting.

Community content

If you use the optional Community feature to submit a photo:

• You must own the rights to the photo and everything depicted in it, and it must be your own LEGO build or collection
• Don't submit anything illegal, offensive, infringing, or unrelated to LEGO
• Submissions are reviewed by a moderator before appearing publicly, and may be rejected at our discretion, without explanation
• By submitting a photo, you grant us a non-exclusive, revocable license to display it within the app's Community feed. This license ends when the post is removed (approved posts are automatically deleted 6 days after approval; rejected posts are deleted immediately)
• We may remove any submitted content, or restrict your access to the Community feature, at any time and for any reason — including suspected abuse of the barcode-submission or rate-limiting systems

Pricing and data accuracy

Market values, ROI estimates, price history, and similar figures shown in the app are estimates pulled from third-party sources (including eBay, Rebrickable, and BrickSet) and cached for performance. They are provided for informational purposes only, may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable, and are not financial or investment advice. Don't make purchase or resale decisions based solely on figures shown in the app.

Not affiliated with LEGO

BrikStax is an independent, fan-made app. LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorize, or endorse this app. Set data is sourced from third parties (Rebrickable, BrickSet) and may contain errors.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false barcode corrections or otherwise attempt to manipulate the crowdsourced barcode database
• Attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or abuse the app's backend services
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with BrikStax

Disclaimer of warranties

BrikStax is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that pricing data will be accurate or current.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BrikStax and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions made based on pricing or valuation data shown in it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
